About college

The St Philomena PU College Mysore was established in 1946. It is managed by the Mysore Diocesan Educational Society. Centrally located, the college is now a prestigious institution in Mysore.  
Facilities:

The faculty at St Philomena PU College are highly motivated with the single aim of delivering a sound educational foundation to its students. 

The laboratories are well equipped and follow all the safety protocols prescribed for storage of all chemicals and specimens. Students are made to follow all safety precautions before entering the science labs. 

The college is known for its large collection of books and reference material. The library is open on vacation days too.

There are separate hostels for both boys and girls. The hostels are managed by hostel wardens and students are made to follow all hostel norms and rules at all times. 

The college believes in the all-round development of students and therefore emphasises on the sports and physical activities for students.

The college campus has a multipurpose field for basketball, hockey, football and other outdoor sports. The students represent the college at various inter college events throughout the year. There are indoor games facilities too.

The NSS unit of the college is engaged in social activities all year round. 

Parents are kept informed of student’s performances and behaviour throughout the year. Parent teacher meetings are held periodically in order to update parents regularly. 

The campus has an inhouse canteen that provides healthy and hygienic food to the students and staff of the college at subsidised rates. 

The college also has a well networked transport system that connects various parts of Mysore thereby facilitating the movement of students from all of the city.
