About college

The Besant Women’s college is located on the main road of Mangalore. It was founded in the year 1977. Guided by the ideas of Dr. Annie Besant, the theosophist and social reformer, Besant women’s college is affiliated to Mangalore University.
 
Infrastructure and Facilities:

The Besant Womens College has a large campus with all modern facilities. There is a separate department to handle the maintenance of building and its facilities.

The campus has cctv installed in strategic points within the campus making it safe and secure for students. The computer, Food and dietetics and home science and language laboratories are well equipped and well managed.

The college has a spacious library that has reference material, journals and guides for students. Besant Women’s college has audio visual room for lectures. It has an auditorium for programs.

The college has sports and gym facilities to encourage physical fitness of the students. The college has canteen facilities for students and mid-day meals are served for deserving students.

The courses are all three year under graduate courses of Mangalore University.

Apart from these courses students can undertake add on courses to supplement their career options like computer course, tally, accounting skill software and other skill development courses offered by the college.
