About college

Affiliated to the VTU Belgaum and approved by AICTE, the Yenepoya Institute of Technology was established in 2008. The college is known for its excellent faculty imparting quality education to the students. The college has made remarkable progress since its inception in 2008. 

Infrastructure and Facilities:
The Yenepoya Institute of Technology has all the modern facilities that make the engineering college one of the best in the city. The amenities are all state of the art and provide the students all the requirements for the engineering course taken up. 

The college has a large library and information centre. The books are all arranged in the Dewey Decimal classification system which makes for easy retrieval of books. The library has private reading cubicles which allow students to concentrate more on reading. 

The college has an in-house stationery shop that meets the demand of the various courses offered by the college. The shop also offers photocopying and printing facilities.  Students can use this in campus facilities instead of looking for the same outside the campus

Yenepoya Institute of Technology runs two separate hostels for boys and girls. Students not staying in the hostels not owned by the college are expected to stay in hostels approved by the college. The hostels are fitted with the best amenities that make for comfortable stay.

The college has its own fleet of buses. The buses run throughout the city of Mangalore and through neighbouring towns. The buses have convenient pick up and drop points for students and staff

The institute has laundry services within the campus.

Yenepoya Institute of Technology has three food areas. A cafe, cafeteria and a food court for students. The three designated food areas have large seating space and serve as a meeting point for students throughout the day. 

All the department buildings are WIFI enabled.

Academics:
The Yenepoya Institute of Technology offers the following undergraduate engineering courses

-Electronics and Communications Engineering
-Computer Science Engineering

Sports and physical fitness is also given importance at Yenepoya Institute of Technology. For this purpose, the college has its own in-house gymnasium for the benefit of students. The college has specific usage timings for boys and girls separately. 

Facilities

The library at Yenepoya institute of technology is well equipped with state-of-the art facilities. It has very good ventilation along with bright natural light and and creates a brilliant learning atmosphere for the students. Since, the library has open access system, the readers can roam around and choose the book of their interest easily.

The college runs 2 separate hostels for boys and girls. The students from outer states/who hails from far away districts are expected to live here.

The YIT Moodbidri provides transport facilities to students coming from various parts of the district.

The college has a Yen cafe providing tasty and healthy food to students at reasonable price.

Yenepoya engineering college Moodbidri has a well equipped Gym for the students to train physically and stay fit.

The campus provides high-speed internet connection to students and faculties via wi-fi.

Admission

Yenepoya Institute of Technology Moodbidri Admission Process:

-The student must have passed the 10+2/PU examination under Science Stream along with PCM as core subjects 

-The student must have cleared any of the engineering entrance exams
