The Hyderabad Karnataka Education (HKE) Society's College of Nursing in Kalaburagi was established in 1991 and was the first of its kind as a private nursing institution.

It is affiliated with RGUHS, Bengaluru. It is also recognized by Indian Nursing Council & Karnataka Nursing Council.

The College of Nursing aims to create competent professional nurses who can assume responsibility for the Primary, Secondary & Tertiary care of people, locally, nationally as well as globally.rnThe H. HKES College of nursing Gulbarga has the latest infrastructure made of classrooms and 3 labs which are well equipped & experienced in teaching PG faculty in their subjects.

It has multiple state-of-the-art labs to teach practicals to its students including the fundamentals of Nursing Laboratory, OBG laboratory & child Health Nursing laboratory, Community Health Nursing laboratory, and Nutrition Lab.

The college has a well-stocked library which is being updated every year with required books and materials. Presently it has over three thousand books and 20 nursing journals. The well-maintained library provides the students with the latest in the world of nursing and other knowledge.

It is worth noting that very good clinical facilities are provided in the same society including Basaveshwara Teaching and General Hospital with 890 Beds and Sangameshwara Hospital for OBG and Pediatrics.

rnThe School of Nursing also achieve 100% results in the last exam & most of the students are well settled in reputed hospitals in India and abroad including in developed countries like the USA, UK, and others.

The students of the nursing college in Karburgi have participated in National programs like Pulse Polio, Filariasis Programme, and other health camps.

The institution provides more importance to Community Health Nursing to create awareness among the nearby villages. It has arranged various health education activities like exhibitions, socio drama, puppet shows, etc., to educate the villagers to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
