Municipal College, Rourkela

Municipal College Rourkela is one of the oldest institution imparting +2, undergraduate degree to students in western Odisha and around. The college laid its foundation in 1978 under Rourkela Education Development Society which was due to patronage of the founding member A.J Alex and NAC Pitambar Mohanty.?The college has been accredited by NAAC in 2016 with B + Grade (2nd Cycle) with a Grade Point of 2.67 .It is in receipt of World Bank Sponsored Institutional Development Grant (IDG) under the programme Odisha Higher Education Programme for Excellence and Equity (OHEPEE) of the Govt. of Odisha, Department of Higher Education. It is also one of the leading college of Sambalpur University having established its academic credentials over the years in University Examinations consistently.
