Rani Parvati Devi Pre-University College Belgaum was established by South Konkan Education Society in the year 1945. The college provides facilities for education in Humanities, Social Sciences and Commerce covering the two-year PU Course of the Department of Pre-University Education, Bengaluru, Karnataka. The medium of instruction is English. There is a special division for Kannada medium students in the Arts Section, wherein the teaching is made in Kannada. Computer Science subject for the Commerce Department has been introduced from 2015-16.

Rani Parvati Devi PU College has a library housed in an imposing building, catering the needs of students and staff. The Library boasts of a large collection of over 80,000 books in almost all major disciplines in the Arts, Science and Commerce streams. Besides, the Library subscribes to about 80 periodicals and research journals, both Indian and foreign and also 14 newspapers. The Library is computerized and provides students with quick access to books and other resources of the library.
Separate Hostel facilities with clean lodging and sanitation are available for boys and girls. Admission to the Rani Parvati Devi Pre University College Hostels is subject to availability of vacant rooms. Enquiries about fees and availability of rooms are to be made with the warden or the respective college office.
Mess facility is made available for Hostel students. Hygienic conditions and quality food is served in a spacious mess hall.
The campus has a large playground with a Cricket pitch, a Kho Kho court, a Volleyball court and is suitably marked for Hockey, Football and Athletics. The college believes that intellectual awareness must be accompanied by physical fitness and hence has traditionally supported sports and games.
The college Xerox center facilitates for the convenience of the students to get photo copies at concessional rates.

Students seeking admissions should apply in the prescribed form available in the College Office.
The Principal’s discretion to grant admission is final in all cases.
PUC I year:
The student must have passed the SSLC Examination of the Karnataka Secondary Education Board with English as one of the subjects, or any other examination recognized as its equivalent by the Department of P. U. Education.
PUC II Year:
The student must have passed the PUC I Examination of the Dept. of P. U. Education conducted by the College on its behalf, or any other examination recognized as its equivalent by the Dept. of P. U. Education.
All such Indian and foreign students who have passed examinations other than those of Karnataka Board of Secondary Education/Dept. of P. U. Education but which are recognized as its equivalent, will have to produce a permission letter from the Dept. of P. U. Education, before they seek admission.

School Leaving Certificate and SSLC Marks-list in original.
6 copies of the latest identity-card size photo with name, class and address written on the back.
Students belonging to SC/ST/OBC (parents whose annual income is less than Rs. 2 lakhs-) applying for exemption from tuition fees, should produce Caste Certificate and Income Declaration from the Tahsildar of their Village/Town/Tahsil at the time of admission. In addition four Xerox copies of each certificate must be submitted.
Migration certificate to be given by other than State Board students (Additional Fees of Rs. 500/-)
