About college

The New Horizon College of Engineering Bangalore is an autonomous college affiliated to the VTU. The college is located in the IT corridor of Bangalore and is close to multinational IT companies.

The campus is peaceful and serene and is conducive to the learning atmosphere. The college is known for its facilities and amenities. The building has been designed in such a way as to get maximum benefit of nature and its bountiful benefits. The new Horizon College of Engineering is regarded as one of the top 10 engineering colleges in bangalore.

The library is housed in a separate building in the campus and is large and spacious. Students are encouraged to use the digital library and information centre at all times.

The classrooms or the lecture halls are well ventilated and well lit. The classrooms are all fitted with audio visual aids to augment the learning process in the college

The college auditorium is large and is fully air conditioned. The auditorium has comfortable cushioned seating and is used for hosting a number of programs and talks in the college. Apart from the auditorium the college also has well furnished seminar halls and video conference halls

The college also has a conference hall for important meetings and discussions

New Horizon College of Engineering runs its own fleet of buses. The buses cover vast routes, picking and dropping students to and from the college. The routes have convenient pick up points to make it easy for students to commute.

The college believes in conserving nature and hence follows alternative energy saving devices like solar panels within the college.

There are three cafeterias in the college. The aesthetically designed cafeterias are a meeting point for students.The vibrant and colourfully designed cafeterias bring joy and laughter amongst students.

The cafeteria serves an amalgamation of cuisine to the different students from different parts of the country.

The college has separate hostels for boys and girls. The hostels are strictly monitored by hostel wardens. The hostels have all modern amenities and are suitable for comfortable living.

Each student is provided with a separate desk and comfortable bed. The hostel has a separate mess apart from the college cafeteria.

Sports and physical fitness is given utmost importance at New Horizon College of Engineering. For this purpose the college has a separate physical education department headed by a Physical Education Director.

The large campus has facilities for indoor and out door sports including an aesthetically designed sports arena.The gymnasium in the college is also designed to promote all round fitness of students.

The New Horizon College is situated on a large campus with impressive and aesthetically designed buildings. The architectural structure of the entire campus is attractive and conducive to the learning atmosphere for students.

Canteen

The college has three canteens. The canteens are a meeting point for students and serve as an informal interaction between students. The cafeterias have large and comfortable seating area and serve clean and hygienic food to the students from all over the country.

Laboratories

Every department of New Horizon College of Engineering has a dedicated laboratory that caters to the curriculum of the department. There are many industry sponsored laboratories in the college.

Hostel

There are separate hostels for boys and girls. The hostels are safe and secure and under the supervision of experienced hostel wardens. The hostels are provided with comfortable amenities. The hostels have 24 hour power backup with medical facilities and housekeeping facilities. The hostels have a separate mess that serves healthy food at all times.

Sports Facilities

The NHCE has excellent sports facilities. The college has both indoor and outdoor sports facilities. The indoor basketball stadium is large with a seating audience area. The multi purpose ground serves as a ground for several sports activities like throwball, athletics, and cricket. The indoor sports includes table tennis, carrom etc. For this purpose there are sports coaches for the benefit of the students' sports team.

Admission

New Horizon College of Engineering BangaloreÂ admits students every year through two methods:

KCET:

The KCET is an entrance examination conducted for students domiciled in Karnataka. The KCET examination admits students into private and Government engineering colleges in the state. The admissions to KCET is directly handled by the Government of Karnataka.

Management Quota:

Students applying through management quota shall submitÂ a duly signed form and submit it to the college administration office. Students who are well versed in sports may also apply through the sports quota of the college.Â
