K.S Hegde Medical Academy

The K.S Hegde medical Academy (KSHEMA) is run by the NITTE University. The college is a state-of-the-art college and teaching hospital located in the medical hotpot of Mangalore, Derlakatte.

The K S Hegde Medical college was established in 1999 and was named after its founder Late Justice k S Hegde former judge of the Supreme Court of India and speaker of the Lok Sabha.

KSHEMA medical college is part of a teaching hospital. It functions as a super speciality hospital providing the best medical health facilities to patients. The college is ranked 36th in NIRF 2020 and has 21 rural health centres under its aegis.

The KS Hegde Medical college, Mangalore is also an institution for research programs. It has a state-of-the-art central research Laboratory and has garnered support from external agencies. The college has collaborated with a number of foreign institutions and organisations.
